Guidelines Documents
UPDATE: Due to the adoption of a new Historic Preservation ordinance in late 2022, compliance with the guidelines below is now mandatory for items requiring a building permit and which are visible to a public street. (See the “CITY CODE - Historic Preservation (PDF)” link above for a link to the code and approval matrix.) Whether projects require administrative approval vs. approval by the Historic Preservation Commission primarily depends on whether the property is contributing or not to the historic district. See the link below to “Appendix A” which indicates the status of each property as contributing or not. The City and Historic Preservation Commission are working on updating the guidelines to better address the new code.
