- Historic Preservation Day & Month
Every year in May, various organizations and municipalities across the country celebrate Preservation Month through events that promote historic places and heritage tourism, and that demonstrate the social and economic benefits of historic preservation. Preservation Month began as National Preservation Week in 1973 and in 2005, the National Trust for Historic Preservation extended the celebration to the entire month of May and declared it Preservation Month.
The Boulder City Historic Preservation Commission aids property owners in maintaining and enhancing Boulder City historical resources including properties located within the District. In 2019, Boulder City became a Certified Local Government and is working in partnership with local, state and national governments to promote historic preservation efforts.
