To schedule a building inspection for an active permit, please log into our online portal Citizen Self Service. You will search for your project using your application number.
NOTE: If you are a subcontractor on a permit with a General Contractor, the GC will schedule all inspections.
Benefits of scheduling inspections online include:
- Accurate inspection scheduling
- Immediate confirmation of scheduled inspection(s)
- Options to schedule for the next business day and up to 14 days in advance
- Option for AM and PM inspections
- Ability to schedule Monday inspections on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- Ability to cancel inspections at any time (in the event an inspection was scheduled in error or the work is not ready)
- Inspection history available for every application (open and closed)
- Alerts to inform the applicant when a project is put on hold for more information
In the event our online portal is not accessible to schedule your inspections, you may email us at buildinginspections@bcnv.org or call our hotline at 702-293-9327. Please include the following information:
- The date for the inspection with an AM or PM preference
- The project address
- The type of inspection
- The permit and application numbers
- A contact name and phone number
Email and hotline requests must be received prior to 3:30 pm to be scheduled for the next regular business day.
*Please note that regular business days for the City of Boulder City are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Requests received on Thursday will be scheduled for the following Monday (or Tuesday if Monday happens to be a holiday).
